Recap
The Falcons leaned heavily on Bijan Robinson and a mistake-free offense to take down the 49ers 26–14 in Week 2. Atlanta dominated on the ground, piling up 198 rushing yards, with Robinson accounting for 169 of them and all three Falcons touchdowns. Michael Penix Jr. didn't need to do much through the air, finishing with 137 passing yards as Atlanta controlled the game with its rushing attack. San Francisco got another productive performance from Christian McCaffrey, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown, while Brock Purdy threw for 131 yards and a score. But the 49ers couldn't keep pace with Atlanta's offense, finishing with just 227 total yards compared to 335 for the Falcons. Turnovers didn't help. San Francisco gave the ball away twice while Atlanta played a clean game with **zero turnovers**. Mike Hughes came up with an interception for the Falcons, while Nick Bosa provided one of San Francisco's bright spots defensively with two sacks. In the end, the formula was pretty simple: **feed Bijan, protect the football and let the ground game do the rest.** **Player of the Game:** Bijan Robinson — 169 rushing yards, 3 TD. ::: Bijan accounted for **85% of Atlanta's rushing yards and all three of their offensive touchdowns**, so he's an easy centerpiece for this recap.
